Burns, Figa & Will Attorney Candace Cole Figa Appointed to Serve on Arapahoe County Ethics Committee by Commissioners

Greenwood Village, CO – October 18, 2011 – Burns, Figa & Will is pleased to announce Candace Cole Figa, a shareholder at Burns, Figa & Will P.C., has been appointed to serve on the Arapahoe County Ethics Committee as a representative for Arapahoe County Commissioner Nancy Sharpe. The term is effective immediately. The committee advises the County Commissioners on ethical issues relating to employees and elected officials.
Ms. Figa maintains a wide-ranging litigation practice including commercial leases, contracts, commercial development and land use issues, partnership dissolutions, employment, attorney’s fees and estate litigation.
She has represented local businesses, large and small, national companies, and individuals. Ms. Figa is admitted to practice in the Colorado State courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Figa has also served as an arbitrator and special master in several areas of commercial and personal injury litigation.
Ms. Figa is also active in civic affairs and served on the Greenwood Village City Council from November 1993-2001. She served as Mayor Pro Tem from 1999-2001. She has also served on numerous community boards and commissions.

Greenwood Village, CO – August 31, 2011 – Burns Figa & Will is pleased to announce Dana L. Eismeier, a shareholder at Burns Figa & Will P.C., has been appointed head of the firm’s Litigation Department.
Mr. Eismeier specializes in commercial, employment and environmental litigation. He also handles intellectual property matters and whistleblower/qui tam litigation. His clients range from large, national corporations to small, local business entities. Mr. Eismeier has substantial trial and appellate experience in Colorado and other states throughout the Rocky Mountain region. He has also appeared several times before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
Mr. Eismeier is a frequent lecturer at various legal conferences in Colorado. He has also published many legal articles, including "The Alter Ego Doctrine in Colorado," published in The Colorado Lawyer and articles regarding the Economic Loss Rule published in the Colorado and Washington Journals.

The Englewood City Council recently appointed David M. "Merc" Pittinos, to its Board of Adjustment and Appeals.

Mr. Pittinos, who focuses on real estate and commercial litigation and advises clients in real estate transactions, will help the board review variance requests and appeals of Englewood's zoning regulations and building codes.
