PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1979 to Present.

Burns, Figa & Will, P.C., Denver, Colorado.

Founder

Private practice of environmental law as principal of mid-size firm and predecessor firms. The firm is a leader in environmental counseling and litigation in the Rocky Mountain Region. Over thirty years experience with the full range of environmental matters, including litigation, enforcement, permitting and transaction work. Extensive experience with contamination and hazardous waste matters. Has served as mediator and expert witness.

1975 - 1979.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region VIII, Denver, Colorado.

Assistant Regional Counsel

Worked with all EPA statutory authority and other environmental laws; lead regional attorney for Clean Water Act, solid and hazardous waste (RCRA), grant programs, pesticide programs, land use implications of EPA programs and environmental impact statement reviews. Chief EPA attorney for matters relating to Indian law.
